I am so sick of reading seller and buyer getting scammed by frauds on daily basis. The fact that alibaba is not filtering enough of these frauds makes my blood boil. Enough of this lets get educated!

1. Western Union Scam
1a. NEVER give out address and control number. With that information the fraud can easily take your goods/cash and send you nothing.
1b. He/she wants you make payment using the "secret question" feature. Western Union themselves ADVISED not to use this feature. Western Union only care about your address and control number (see 1a.)

2. Never use any other escrow service other than ESCROW.COM.
squaretrade.com, tnt.com blah blah. Why take the risk? 99.9999% if it's not ESCROW.COM it is not SAFE.

3. Safest payment methods
3a. Credit Card - will refund if you file fraud complaint
3b. Paypal - Deal with verified (address and ****) paypal only
3c. Escrow - safe, safe, reliable according to 100% of their users.
3d. Letter of Credit - Your bank acts as escrow. Make sure its "Standby L/C"
3e. Cash on Delivery - Buyer does not get goods unless he/she pays for it

4. Before T/T or wiring transfer any funds to (LEGITIMATE AND WELL RESEARCHED) supplier/buyer please ask the following:
Full name, address, telephone number, company name, business license number, bank number, bank telephoen number, scan/fax copy of buyer/seller ID/Driver's license, references.

5. www.intellius.com provides the service of going to the seller's country physically then delivers them to you. This secure buying facility will charge you some money.

6. www.readnotify.com will let you know if your buyer/seller is legit emailing you from the country where they claim to be. Eg. German buyer but with Nigerian IP address? BUSTED! US$24/year service.

7. Seller/buyer has a fake website set up? run it through www.godaddy.com and scroll down to "whois lookup" link. If the domain does not have an address or contact info or they've been up recently. WATCH OUT aye.

There you go, Hopefully this will educate buyer and seller alike on how to safely conduct business over the internet.

Note that this is what I know as at today. if you have further comment saying how cool I am for posting this ya can contact me via Alibaba trade manager.

From a legit buyer and seller, Peace out yo.
