Replying to [S McB]:There are always minimums along the way on both ends, so small shipments will have a high unit cost for shipping. Postal rates are the cheapest, and the slowest, most risky. Consolidated ocean freight is the cheapest, with about 1 cubic meter being what you pay for regardless of if your shipment is smaller. May think CIF is cheapest, and it can be, but it can also be that they haven't found the right forwarder themselves. Some importers think that buying CIF absolves them of risk during transit... not true. The risk is the same as with FOB

Truth ,Maybe I can reduce the risk by my effort. I am a forwarder,Shenzhen Goglobal Intl Logistics Co,.Ltd . You can e-mail me by danny@gogloballog.com if you will

I know what you are worried about, but as carrier they are also  very worried something,  for example the payment. the process is that book the space, and send cargo to custom warehouse, custom clearance, and depart. pls note: If the cargo is in custom warehouse, the shipper want to get back the cargo, he must import the cargo, which need custom clearance. now the cargo is handled by custom. the carrier must take care that the cosignee have the ability to refuse to receive the cargo. so generally, the carrier colloct payment. I am in China, I am a newbie in here, very glad to meet you. I am in air freight company in guangzhou China.

I am interested from ShenZhen to NY. I heard there are small businesses in China Town who have business's built around renting space on China-Air. Make sense?

I agree with casper!<img src=" border="0" src="http://img.alibaba.com/images/eng/style/icon/emoticons_great.gif" /> I use air only for small packages, and use ocean shipping for larger orders, it is a lot cheaper. It takes approx 30 days, and I always ask my supplier to handle the delivery booking, less hassle, and they understand the process from their country. They will email/fax the details, so that when it arrives in this country, when you are contacted by the shipping agent in the UK, you have all information available. The shipping agent can arrange delivery to your address, or if you are near to the port, you can deliver yourself. The shipping agent will require import duties from you before releasing.

I pay less than that.  email us at industrial@blacktaisaltco.com We use a company in the US that is absolutely massive insize, and has the best rates.

If you do FCL they almost definately guarantee the most competitive pricing structure available, and with the fuel surcharges outthere you need someone on your side.  They even offer customs clearance.

FCL is the cheapest way to ship, so next time order a container of merchandise, youll save a lot in the long run.

I have the same problem. I am living in china, and I work for different companies, when they ask me for samples, they must pay about 100 euro, with DHL, UPS, etc.

I am looking for new solutions ... EMS it is ok, but takes long time.

Did you ever find an inexpensive way to ship samples.
