To all asking about space in a container (LCL).(Less than Container Load)

This is not difficult to do. All you need is a decent Shipping Agent. Any good agent will be able to find a shipment that your products can be squeezed in with, especially if it is leaving from a BIG port. Generally the larger Freight Forwarders have better access to these partial containers to be able to fill up. It's a bit compex (logistics wise) but not impossible.

The BAD news is........ on the off chance your goods are shipped in a container with something that has bad paperwork or is illegal etc etc.... there is a chnace that YOUR goods wll also be held up in customs.

Worth looking into though. try to arrange a larger window with your agent so he/she can find a good way to do this for you. If you don't need the product in a hurry then a better rate can sometimes be got.

help! we are 3 volunteer teachers returning to Britain in July and we would like to ship some of our personal belongings and a rather largish box of fabrics and various items bought here. It does not come to much more than a meter cube - maybe a bit more, 4 cardboard boxes, the size a TV comes in. - more or less. probably around 100kg. (a rough guess) - can we include our personal shipment with anyone's? We cannot pay the $2000 and don't need 3 cubic meters which is the smallest freight courier we found so far. We can pack within 24 hours in front of someone to see what it is - but we need it picked up in Baoji, Shaanxi , and delivered in Bristol, UK - OR does anyone know a courier we can use? (contact via TM)

I have the same problem. I am living in china, and I work for different companies, when they ask me for samples, they must pay about 100 euro, with DHL, UPS, etc.

I am looking for new solutions ... EMS it is ok, but takes long time.
