Cheapest way to ship goods from china?
Post 22 of 162
Replying to [S McB]:There are always minimums along the way on both ends, so small shipments will have a high unit cost for shipping. Postal rates are the cheapest, and the slowest, most risky. Consolidated ocean freight is the cheapest, with about 1 cubic meter being what you pay for regardless of if your shipment is smaller. May think CIF is cheapest, and it can be, but it can also be that they haven't found the right forwarder themselves. Some importers think that buying CIF absolves them of risk during transit... not true. The risk is the same as with FOB.

Replying to [S McB]:small qty you always paying minimum costs even by air m/m is 45 kg. and by seafreight 1 cbm or 1.000 kg.
in lcl less container load in groupage, but the you are paying also all minimum handling charges etc.
so best solution is let the china supplier send it via courier directly to you on prepaid basis, and pay him the charges for ourier that is the best and cheapest way for 16 kgs. the courier charge sin china are cheaper that this end in europe.

Replying to [S McB]:yes all solutions available but again depends on whom u chose. When u talk about 16 kgs... its below the rate tariff by any airlines as u may be aware that the slab start from +45 kgs and u will be charged min freight which as u mentioned will be on higher. So for smaller shipments like this, always better to use Fedex,DHL etc who are expenssive, but there are many small time courier people who does it as consolidations. But for 100 kgs, there won't be a proble as this is quite okay weight for any airlines to give you a better deal compare to couries companies. u may find some good consolidators for this kind of shipments. Any service need or clarifications. please feel free to contact at Deleted by Modarator thanks Krishnan
