Yes! Ok, it goes faster with DHL and the like, but send it by normal sea freight (China to Europe about one month) and you save something like 80% of costs.

Hello

funnily enough I just had a massive argument with one of my freight forwarders today regarding the amount of money they charge for L/C , he insisted that because the good's are with someone else they have no control over price ,basically the forwarders can charge what they want , this is very complex and will take age's to explain , basically get a shipping company to quote you on fob or c/f obviosley c/f will be cheaper ask which shipping company they consider to be cheap usually oocl then get quoted on c/f but only using oocl or watever they say

I just re-read this and it sounds gobble-d -goop if you need any help email on Deleted by Moderator.and then i will give you my number

In general I find that chinese cmpanies somehow manage to find much better shipping prices overall usually. The country where I live and work is better connected to china than most other countries by ship, even though it is so far away, so th price difference is usually around 10%. I've ordered shipments from Germany and paid over 30% on some products.

[em4] The biggest problem I find with Chinese factories, though, is their willingness (or rather lack of) to use groupage services (where you buy container space rather than a whole container). The minimum order is usually far too high for a normal trader, making stocking up a normal shop a pretty difficult task. I think the Chinese market has to realise that even though wholesalers can buy much more, if smaller traders cut out the middle man, the small traders get more money, and so do the Chinese factories. I also found that some Chinese manufacturers seem to get offended when you say you need, say, only 50 units of each item.

Replying to [S McB]: get in touch with http://www.cargo-partner.com. We had our goods transported for approximately 5 USD per kg from Austria to China.
