I am importing things from Shanghai to Canada on LCL (less the container loads) cheaply, for example 1CBM-5CBM around $600-$800 US
I'm also expressing things from Shanghai to Canada for:
50kgs - 250kgs - 6.50 - 7.00 US
Its all about the good connections my friends!
Hi there,
I'm in Ottawa. I have a few items that I want to bring in personally. I go to China often for work and arrange alot of FOB programs for the US retailers I deal with.
However I would like to bring in some samples and the courier chargers are quite high. EMS out of China seams to be the best courier for price on air frieight. I called few local freight forwarders here and the cubic meter prices for a space in container was just as high as TNT's express air freight.
You seem to be doing well with shipping. Can you refer me to someone?
Rdgs.

At the moment i pay $230 for shipping 16kg worth of goods from China to the UK, which is very costly. Does anyone know of any cheaper ways to ship goods from China.
Im not concerned about the time takes. Are there any services or companys that sell slots in containers. I would be interested to know im looking to import roughly 100kg of compact goods?

There are transportation companies that offer consolidation service in ocean containers.
It would depend on your location and the destination city. The companies are called N.V.O.C.C. or Non Vessel Operating Common Carriers. They will issue a House Bill of Lading to you as a receipt for your individual shipment. All of the various shipments in the container would be shipped with a Master Bill of Lading between the N.V.O.C.C. and the actual steamship line hauling the container.
I am a United States freight forwarder and Customs broker but if this information is not helpful. I could get one of our agents in China to explain this process to you.
