The airfreight is not good for under 45 kgs. The only choice is courier, but all DHL, TNT, UPS are too expensive.

ask your Chinese suppliers to find a courier for less than 100 USD for this. There are small Chinese courier companies/agents do this.

If the goods are from Shenzhen , I can help. 16 KG to UK less than 100 USD, and it took about 10 days deliveried on door.

The thing is they do not speak english, so you have to get a local person to help you.

To US even cheaper . ( for another mate's question. )

If my answer can help, i will be very happy.

I would like the name of inexpensive courier in Shenzen. And also e-mail or Skype address,

Leonard

Thankyou.

Hello,

I am located in Lexington, KY.  I am trying to start a real small business locally as my job is threatened on an almost daily basis.  I'm interested in ordering 2 sample water distillers from Shenzhen to see if it's a business I'd like to start on the side.  However, my shipping more than doubles my cost and increases it so much I can buy from ebay cheaper.  I'm also worried about ordering from someone that will take my money and not ship my product.  I'd love some company references if anyone is willing to share someone they trust.  Also, Is there anyone that lives in my area that I can combine shipping with?  If I am allowed to give my email for responses, it's barbie@qx.net.

Hi, The most cost effective of shipping goods from china is by sea. For example: 20ft container is approx 25 cubic metres. 1 cubic metre will cost you 80USD. Plus 17usd for documentation and there will be some minor other charges for export from Guangzhou, China. Obviously when you are receiving the goods here in England there is clearance fees, agent fees, customs duty and VAT. I think you are paying too much money for export by air. If you want a succesful business then you should look at ways to reduce your overheads. If there is any further information you would like about shipping agents in china or anything then please do not hesitate. Thanks, Asfhan

It seems to me most of the people on this thread are looking for the names and contact details of good agents they can use to get LCL space. Maybe you could post a list of suggestions or advice on how to find them. Sometimes, suppliers are reluctant to get it organised and just quote you for courier price then say this is the cheapest they can get. I have found that, if you are close to making a deal, it is worth insisting that they look for space on a container through their agent to bring down the cost. In the end, you may get a reasonable price.
