Smaller orders might mean less profit, but do they have larger implications, like return business?

I believe suppliers should pay attention to small orders because it affords both the opportunity to know each other better and perhaps develop some level of confidence before the large others.

I will add a bit more to ... we started ordering 2 or 3 pallets from a chinese producer. We spent time talking and they listened, now we import 30 containers of this product alone.

I think small order or big order is not important for business,we can establish a long-term business relationship with this customer is more important than anything.

Dont shy away from small orders,its the stepping stone which leads you to the top.You dont know who you dealing with,may be he may trial you for few small orders to get him more satisfied.Small or Big all orders to be considered in equal status and treat the buyer as he/she is the best.
