I have been doing business with my supplier in Pakistan for about 2 years now. There seems to always be issues but i came to the conclusion that whatever issues there may be that my products do eventually arrive. However this time it seems as if there is a big issues.
My supplier gave me an air way bill about a month ago. I gave it to my customs broker however the air way bill was never trackable, even till this day it is not trackable. So when i contacted my supplier he claims that the freight forwarder has the products "Stuck" in Dubai. He gave me the company name of the freight forwarder and the person in charge to speak to. I called him no answer, and when i emailed him he emailed me back not explaining things clearly simply saying you will have your products within 1 week because of internal issues. I don't believe things till I see proof.
Then I went ahead and went to the freight forwarders website and contacted them by phone and email. They claim that the name my supplier gave me does not exist and no one by that name works at their company. I sent them the airway bill and they said they are not the ones doing the freight forwarding and it was another company, which is true. Because I saw another companies name on the AWB. When I contacted my supplier he claims that that person does exist and that this company sometimes uses other smaller companies to do some of their work. So again i had no option to believe him. But now I just got an email from that freight forwarding company in Pakistan claiming that after thorough research for the past few days that no one by that name exists at their company and that either my supplier used another freight forwarder or my supplier still has the products sitting with him. When i called my supplier he just keeps saying stuff like "we have always done honest business with you..." etc. etc.
So any ways, my supplier tells me one thing but the freight forwarding company tells me another. I even ask my customs broker to help me on this matter and they seem to have no clue whats going on either. Now I don't no what to do.
Please if anyone can advice me on what to do i'd greatly appreciate it? Please help???

I have been. Literally for the past month I have been emailing, calling or texting the supplier at least once a day.
I tried being extremely nice to him for a few days praising him. I tried ignoring everything for a week. I tried getting really angry at him. I tried it all. It seems nothing works. What do i do?
For some reason, I feel if I had more knowledge about things like this I would be able to figure out how to release my shipment from dubai. I want to have more knowledge about the whole process of freight forwarders etc. everywhere I search online it says to build a good relationship with my supplier which I have, but it seems sometimes he takes his sweet time. But his intentions are good. Where can I get more knowledge about this so i can fix these types of situations? Or should I just trust my supplier and have tons of patience?

On what terms were the shipping?
And are you sure where your goods now, in Dubai?
The trust is gaining through the effort supplier put to solve this problem, as long as he delaying and not giving prompt response and reasonable solution - then how to trust in him?

Hi,
Did you paid him the entire amount or its still in your hand ?
If its in your hand apply debit note. Supplier always has a better relation with his logistic so the logistic will listen to them rather then you.
Threat your supplier, If he is not helping you out then you are going to disclose his name over all the forums and destroy his market reputation....
Although I wish that you resolve the issue peacefully and never depend on one supplier...

give info of shipment sender or take a lawyer that he can solve it in few days.
