On 31 March 2012, we will be updating our Agriculture category. After these updates are made, it will be faster and easier than ever for buyers to find your products on Alibaba.com!

All products that are affected by the changed categories will be automatically updated. During the period from 31 March to 6 April, you are advised not to modify the Product Categories or Product Details (Attributes) of your existing products in My Alibaba, in case your operation will fail in this period.

Changes to the Agriculture Category:

1. “Agricultural Growing Media”, “Agricultural Product Stock”, “Bean-Like Seeds”, “Plant Fiber” will be removed. “Peat” in “Agricultural Growing Media” will be moved under “Garden Pots & Planters” of “Home & Garden” category; the products in “Agricultural Product Stock” will be moved to “Other Agriculture Products” category; the products in “Plant Fiber” will be subdivided into “Fiber” on “Textiles” category.

2. “Timber Raw Materials” will be added. “Logs” and “Bamboo Raw Materials” will be moved under the new category.

3. “Extract” will be added under “Health & Medical”. “Animal Extract” and “Plant Extract” will be moved from “Agriculture” to the new category.

4. “Blended Oil” will be removed. All products under the category will be subdivided into the sub categories of “Plant & Animal Oil”.

5. “Peanut Oil” will be added into the new “Plant Oil” category. Other vegetable oils such as "Corn Oil" and "Sunflower Oil" will be also moved to the new “Plant Oil” category.

6. “Ear Tag” will be moved to “Animal Husbandry Equipment” under “Machinery” category.
