Insurance cost vary due to nature of cargo, duration of transit, from / to places and many other risk involved.
Normally it is charged certain percentage on the value of goods. (Example: 0.1% of Invoice value).
We normally pay 0.05 to 0.1% premium for insurance for agri-commodities. Not sure about premium of your product.
You can do this way:
If you find cheap insurance at your place; buy at CNF instead of CIF and take insurance cover your self.
