I think there are many problems.

Main is after get the price need to confirm with the client, as mainly direct buyers are very less and who contact with you are mostley traders.

Price is also a factor including, reply the emails on time.

You follow up with them and try to get the feedback.

Because they have received many quotations and some of the suppliers just give the price they want. so they needn't to waste time to cut the price with you .

I would like to share you, you should check the queries in your alibaba message centre, there you can find the inquiry is sent to you individual or how many suppliers.

If buyer has sent query to you along with other suppliers, you should quote attractive price..

maybe your price is too high compared with other suppliers, then the customer think there is no need to contact with you more.

What you have is a PROSPECT or a LEAD

 

 

They are not customers until they give you money.

 

 

A good trick is to re-contact this customer and tell them there has been a decrease in the price.

 

 

When and if they contact you… deduct 2% - 5% …. and give them that price.

 


This way you get another shot at the business.
