Dear,

As we do business with foreigners, samples' shipping fees are always high, could you pls tell me how to solve it ?

or in what way to persuade customers pay for the shipping fees?

my pre-company makes little acrylic display products, samples or products shipping fees are not high.

but now is furniture company, furniture are big, when makes samples, you can not mini-make them, so samples shipping fees are high, very high .

i donot know how to solve this problem, any one who has been in furniture line, could you pls share with me. thank you !

In my opinion , the cost of furniture is not cheap and you company can't provide the sample to customers for free .
As the sample's shipping fee you can add into the sample fee .
In generally speaking ,the sample's price is higher than mass production . so you can add it properly .

Hello,

Yes, you can add the shipping fee to the sampling fee before the sample build up. Most of the customer will agree to pay for the shipping fee. If you can't solve this issue in this way, then you can contact me. I have been cooperated with a Chinese forwarder for years, and they can provide me the best shipping fee.

way to go , add shipping fee into the sample price, but this need control well, the sample order i lost almost due to the high shipping charge,

[em1]you can ask for sample shipping fee from your customer, until he place an amout of order ,then you return the shipping fee to him. i think in this way ,your costmer will more happy to agree.

Even my knowledge about the furniture products is low, i think the customer if its really a buyer, will be willing to pay for the samples fee. You can ask the customer for their express account (DHL,TNT,etc) to send the samples, if they don't have any, then you can explain the customer that you will add the shipping fee in the samples invoice, and you will return that money once they place order. If they still unwilling to pay for the samples, then you should invite them to visit the factory, so that they can see all of your products and the production line. If none of this works, then means the customer just need a piece of furniture to decorate his home or office, and its not a real buyer. Hope it helps!

I think persuade your client to afford the sea freight is the best way. If a client who donot wanna pay for it,is he a real buyer or just want to get a furniture to decorete his home.[em7]
