ALIBABA MESSENGER SCAMS
Post 1 of 10

I spend hours online selling laptops worldwide and the alibaba messenger is a great tool but full of scammers, go figure, lol.

I found that 8 out of 10 messages I get on this site for my laptop offers are from scammers. To pinpoint them I ask right off where are they from, i watch for spelling, syntax of sentences, etc once I get them to a certain point I ask them how they care to pay. Usually its via bidpay or money order. Right off i say sorry no way. They ask how we prefer and I say TT just to see what they reply to. Immediatley 99% say ok they will tt. Thats a dead giveawy there thta they are fraudulent. No buyer will immediatley agre to this method of payment (if you know the trade that is).

I have received 3 forged bank TT confirmation notices in a week!

WATCH FOR THIS SCAM AS THEY WILL EXPECT YOU TO SHIP UPON THE EMAILED CONFIRMATION THAT THEY MADE THE TT. ITS PRETTY OBVIOUS WHAT THEY ARE DOING SO I TELL THEM OF AND LAUGH AT THME FOR A PITIFUL ATTEMPT.

Clues to watch for,yahoo.com email, bad spelling, no phone #, refusal to answer direct questions even when repeated, double firts names. lack of knowledge in your product you are selling. Usually with laptops I ask them basic questions like specs they need, qty, where it being shipped to etc and they usually say Pentium 4. They do not elaborate on minimum specs that any normal buyer would want to know. It is pretty obvious they dont care what the specs are so I know they are wasting my time and  trying to defraud me.

If its too easy to get them to send you moeny  then you know they are scammers. Any REAL buyer would be very concerned on all aspects. Some scammer are very good though so beware. You can email me at visionedger@lycos.com if you need any help to determine the vailidity of deals you are working on.

DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK THEM DIRECT SIMPLE QUESTIONS THAT ANY LEGITIMATE BUYER WOULD KNOW AND ANSWER. ITS YOUR RIGHT AS A SUPPLIER IN MY MIND.

thanks

Re: ALIBABA MESSENGER SCAMS

How often is a payment made by e-mailing a cashiers check to the company for payment and having to print the check and having the bank honor the check. I'm not to sure about abtaining a blank check paper and printing the payment off your e-mail and then taking that to the bank to cash.

ALIBABA MESSENGER SCAMS

********REPORT YOUR FRAUD EXPERIENCE TO CNN******************

Hello,

We on the Alibaba community need to have our voices heard. Too many people have been scammed on Alibaba by companies like Hongkong Leiming Ltd. Will this keep going on? Alibaba needs to take the next step to shut fraud operations down to protect the consumer. This will affect B2B relations between the two nations. I am from the US and i have already promised myself that i would never do business with overseas company again. When will this trust be restored? Not soon. My experience will definately be heard to protect other people.

Go to this link and report that you've been scammed on Alibaba.com. Also tell CNN if Alibaba.com has taken off the vendor information since you reported it to them. Also don't forget the name and country of the vendor that took your money. Most importantly, state to CNN that this type of fruad happens to many people everyday.

http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form11b.html?1

Please contact CNN to help report fraud cases. I'm sure Alibaba won't do anything about it.

Re: Re: ALIBABA MESSENGER SCAMS

I have been scammed by a person called Frank Jensen, be careful, he is a scammer, he gave me wrong company registration number, wrong phone numbers and wrong addresses, but of course after i paid, but anyway keep this name in your mind Frank Jensen , fake company name "Business sales online limited " , the emails he uses for now are o.inquiry@googlemail.com and b.salesonline@g m a i l .com (remove spaces), DO NOT WORK WITH HIM, first he tells you we sell 2 pieces, and free delivery , you send the money, then he tells you , 2 pieces if expensive for him to send , so he makes the shipment 5 pieces, and asks for additional money, then the second day he sends an email asking for VAT 444 something and you have to send him more money to ship your products.

BE CAREFUL HIS MESSENGER ID us117761047 AND NAME FRANK JENSEN
Country: UK london.

we are in the process of reporting him to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau.
