Vey easy man, just put a declaration on your buying lead that whomever wants to offer you their products it is neccesary to have the requested certificates. If not, worn them that their future emails will be blocked. If something is not written in laws, we will write them! Sorry but this is the main reason why we have this challenge, ALIBABA has a couple of problems and to find a solution we are are in the challange!
Regarding the logo and all other discussions above, I found them tottaly useless. Especially to have Flash web site etc. I'm not connecting to ALIBABA because it is attractive, just because I want to make business. A good looking web site is not the same with the EASY to USE, SIMPLE but FUNCTIONAL website. What else you are discussing here is like an ugly girls make up! Be more realistic are you here for better business solutions or for fashion? ALIBABA is quite fine as the system with little cheatings and we need to find soultions to make it better than it is. Since we are not able to block scammers, frauds, hundreds of useless emails etc. I give a *hit if ALIBABA logo is good or is it lokking ugly. The problem is not that it looks good or bad. It is complicated and it needs to be come more powerfull instead fo becoming more Beauty??
Regarding the WAP/Mobile version of ALIBABA, how you can put the current ALIBABA in a mobile? This is not that easy. I can not even handle with the emails that I'm recieving to my computer and I don't wanna pay a fee for recieving scammers eamils to my mobile. Yes I would like to have ALIBABA on my mobile but like I offered on my topic. Check my topic "Fasten Your Seatbelt for ALIBABA". You can see how to improve ALIBABA in 7 steps.

I would definately NOT change the interface. The interface is fine, Flash does not even work on most peoples computers until they install it. Flash also takes long to load on peoples computers people because some people just won't get rid of dial up. Knowing every customer will have the same visit visually outways the idea of flash.
If I was the owner, I would leave the site the way it is and hire a team of people that will work on different marketing strategies for the company. An idea for an addition to Alibaba is this. Allow customers to sign up for a seller's invoice viewing. The invoice view is an additional program that sellers can allow buyers to create their own invoices. This invoice will be calculated by database entries that are store from each seller. This gives the buyer an Idea of how much money they are spending and it will maximize the amount of money a seller has to spend. I have a visual of this in my head and it is as clear as day. I would also add information about different ways to import. As far as which courier companies are available and how importing by boat port works. Many buyers quit because they don't know the first step in importing goods.
Alibaba is my choice of global trade site. There are many different ones and if Alibaba offers the most features then they will prevail as number 1.
