I would improve Alibaba by including feedback in suppliers/buyers homepages.

At the moment we have no idea who or what we are trading with when we persue a new lead.

It is no doubt to saying that alibaba is really a great business promotioanal site. All of its features are excellent. But only thing is that the difference of its paid/free members. With the help of this discussion plteform i suggest that more and more facilities are provided to free members as possible.Because it is a trend that every free member who gets a order through alibaba try their best to become a paid member. So more and more facilities are provided to free members as they get more and more orders in a few time and become a paid member.

 Best Regards

Security

1)  Stop the scammers -- such time consuming.  Put them on black list, and then list them Alphabetically in order.  Once someone click on the company name, they will see more details, such as who reported them, for what, and how they did it.

2)  Provide links for customer to verify seller/buyer information, by VAT, by Company registration, by bank, etc.

3)  Provide credit / background check for customer who willing to pay some fees.  Check by credit union, or by Company registered in the named country.  If someone is not registered with a company, or have valid Business Registration Licences in the named country will not be able to buy or sell.  The way I see it, if someone cannot open an account with a bank with valid Company License number, and contact information, as well as not to register a company name, they are fraud to me.

Search

1)  create an easier search, by country, by type, by company name.  If you can't find it, then it's probably not in alibaba.com

The above is all I can think of, I hope it helps for everyone who uses this website.  I am writting these, because I don't want to be scammed, or waste time by the scammers.

Best regards

Considering upon the position that Ali has taken already, what’s the next step Ali should take to outstand itself further?

If I were the owner of alibaba.com, Ali Forum would be the next milestone.

As a worldwide and famed business platform, alibaba.com have achieved great success. It has been regarded as one of the most accessible, feasible and effective world marketplace. It makes the world even smaller and deserves comprehensive appreciation and respect.

But it depends too much on it’s realm of Chinese origin . It’s the responsibility that Ali should do more to match the world pace, push the world progress and it’s own.

Ali should be the one more than alibaba.com

Ali Forum, periodically, is a series of community activities, focus on world trade, that it integrates the advanced theory and the practice that pilot the way of business. It enable Ali to pulse the world of business and build itself a visionary company, in the globe.

It usually takes 6-12 hours to publish new public products, and even more time to revise published public products. That's really too time consuming.

Please improve to ensure our efficiency. Thanks in advance.

Logistics

How are you keeping? I am very pleased to hear of the yahoo and alibaba partnership. Please continue on the great work.

Alibaba.com has already accomplished an enormous feat of attempting to organize a website to contain the international trade business especially for  Asia and SE asia sectors. The business conducted in asia are more in favor of certain cultural traditions. However trade practices and fair competition could be a foundation towards building trustworthy relations.

1. I am suggesting if you wish to attract more clients to your exporters, you should employ an "auction" type setting which could attract more business for both parties. Auctions should however be segragated for manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailer levels. The feedback section from an earlier reply could easily give credits to the great auction companies from the fraud, but without the auction seeing is not believing to a certain degree. The auction is not a new idea, but it has not been fully developed. Ebay has fully exploited it, but left what is a great idea untouched. If you were able to be in more auctions then the increase in purchases will reflect this relations.

3. Of course to improve this increase to auction exposure, it would cost money.  Alibaba can not employ the auction without investing significant income into upgrading its technological infrastructure for the long-run. Not just the mainframes, servers, telecommunications, and other inhouse equipment but I am saying if you invested in handheld computers capable of holding the auctions, mentioned above, much like a mobile phone, this would bring technology, business, and fair trading ethics together.

~ 3.0M(USD) = 1800/units ($1667/per unit"pretax") handheld computers/wireless/camera/sound capable

~ 1800 computers are to be issued to Alibaba staffs, Gold members, or those with the highest volume of sales. Meaning this 3M is upgrading your clients accessability to Alibaba.

Please take  your time to consider this two crucial improvements, and help finance this 3M purchase for added mobility. For I have exactly the handheld which should enable this entire operation successful. Thank you for your time, and have a great week.
