) as things can go wrong quickly and it is better to have someone on the ground who can deal for you, agents do not have to be expensive or costly and they can help youget established.
If its smaller end, then speak to people on the board, see if they can help, make sure you verify company details, don't take things to heart to quickly, offer things like a samle if its viable, but make them pay carriage, get some commitment from them.
But the most important thing is set yourself out how you will deal with payment etc, what deposits you will take, have things like escrow ready, cover yourself. do not let the buyer control you.
