Buyers: is Canton fair now less attractive to you?

Hi, I work for a multinational sourcing company based in Hong Kong and Guangzhou - we use Alibaba.com quite often to source certain products for our customers. However, it seems that this year, less and less of our customers are planning to visit the trade fair.
I just want to gauge whether other buyers have the same feeling: is the trade fair now irrelevant since trade with China is more free?

Our company won't attend this canton fair due to its high fee.But i will prepare more for this fair as i went there most of the time.we often go to the special show in our swimming pool filter field.
However,i do not think exhibition will be vanished and of course the customers will not come down.more and more exhibition hold in china will confirm you that..

1 Many buyers have their regular suppliers,so most of them would not like or even don't have time to go.

Canton fair is less attractive nowadays because the exhibitors never or rarely changes. I know of several factories/trading companies who want to get space at the canton fair but there is none available. The old companies who sell the same old items every canton fair monopolize the booths. I have attended the canton fair 12 times during the past 7 years and have grown tired of it. Even the booths with whom I have no business dealings already know us
