There are always risks for whatever paymend method.
Do not pay 100% by TT, pay 30-40% deposit, and pay the balance agaist copy of B/L.

For small values,Payment with bank transfer is ok,even it's 100%T/T advance. However,if it involves a big amount,L/C will be the best way.Whether you will take risk or not depends on the credibility of the supplier and the terms of T/Tpayment.

DONT DO IT !!!! I was looking for LCD TVs to buy. I was contacted by Glen from www.powerful-wholesaler.com. He quoted me $1500 for 3 TVs. He said it had to be TT transfer and the payment was made. First the tracking numbers did not appear on the system for ages then two small boxes arrived a month late and .... the had two fake phones in them! He kept me hanging on waiting for the problem to be resolved by the shipping company but it was all a hoax. Now the company seems to have disappeared - with my $1500 and goodness knows how many others they conned. Does anyone know of anything I can do about this? Has anyone else heard of this company? wyatt007@btinternet.com
