The most problems are:

Communicable, effective English writing that can be understood to buyer and ourselves.

not only price list talking, it is about technical and products know how,
delivery or logistic and the payment method.
Lot of Details of advantageous must there
to be explained, especially if the buyer is new in this products/business line.

Short cut data taking or 'being used' As Classic story, the contacts is
not 'real buyer' they are only tele-market/shop that only
collect info of prices and catalogs for their market research, the worse are they would use
the data as comparison and pressing tools to their own previous link/supplier.
So they use our proposal/quotation only for info resources dept.
these would be even worse if about 'New Design/feature' or new formula/technology'.

New buyer's Intensity parameter (serious buyer)
It is hard
to know the Intention of the new contact/inquiries just from the screen/e-mail.
spending our times with big hope(if optimistic way) to always answering and giving information
to all the queries/question that may come from the new contact/counter part.
In fact, we do not know yet: is he/she serious to buy? when he/she want to order ? Is our prices
is acceptable/marketable for them ? when they want to settle transaction? and many Q ?

Internal consolidation/adapter
On the other hand, we do realize that behind us, the production team and logistic also beyond
our remote-control, we have to match the demand/request with production scale/specs.
in this case are : MOQ and OEM request, we have to be as
matching-maker between the
demand and supply. It is as like a Play Maker in the team.
It is out of topic, if you are working with huge industry products that already bear IS0 9000/1 etc

the speed and quick response to any contacts is the standard in global trade On-line biz.
You could imagine how and what we suppose to do, especially to overcome above handicaps.
