Buyer request TEMPERED GLASS for Indonesian furniture?

Tempered Glass
was required by the buyer for the counter Top of : Dining Table, Coffee Table, Center table,
side table And also for the Cabinet as like: Vitrine, Display Cabinet, Book case, especially for the doors of cabinet.

For The top table's edges surround, it also must be smoothly polished, not rough of the cutting/grinding  traces.

Question are:
- What is the standard quality in USA , Euro and UK for safety rule of using tempered glass for furniture ?
- What are the different and comparison points between Ordinary glass against tempered glass ?
- How much value or cost price will be the tempered glass is compared with common glass ?
- How to identify and checking/inspecting the tempered glass by physical/visual test? that it is not ordinary glass?
- What to do in cutting the tempered glass and to make the edges be smooth ?

3. Cost  ---  tempered glass's is about 1 time higher than annealed glass.

4. Check tempered glass

   (A). Usually, there is a mark on the corner of tempered glass, such as 3C(china), CE

   (B). Watch the glass through an eyeglass,  if you can see alternate black and white spots, the glass is tempered glass.

5. Cut into pieces and process edges

    (A). Tempered glass can not be cutted and the edges also can not be polished.

    (B). Tempered glass are cutted into figured sizes, polishing edges and drilling holes  before heat-treating. When it is tempered glass, we can not do any process of it.

the price comparison between clear glass Annealed with tempered.
3mm, 5 mm and 10 mm thickness ?
