Well I think you have to find a way to assure them they will get their product on time, and according to their specifications if they pay you cash in advance. This depends on the reputation of your company. Perhaps some of your satisfied customers will give you a letter about their experience with your company, and you a small part of this on your website so everyone can see. You of course, can set up paypal for the smaller companies or ask for a bank draft upon delivery for the small customers. If your product is custom made only for your customer, then you can ask for a deposit before starting your run.

Hi tammy. I have not yet dealt business internationally (except ebay for personal stuffs) but locally I can say im experienced.

One word will complete my answer "Trust". Yes, Its hard to earn trust nowadays. I suggest just give them the best service that you can give and in the future I am sure that it will pay-off.

+1 for paypal. +2 for deposit as described on the previous post.

i want to know , what terms of payment you are using ? the terms of payment in our company is T/T , 30% prepay then 70% after the shippment , if the client did not mail us the 30% so we are not began to produce , and after the goods shipped , we will not send client the B/L until the client mail us 70% money , in that way , there is no money problem between the client and us .

by the way , the Trade Terms is FOB[em1]
