Why is shipping so much higher going through Aliexpress. It is almost double

If you consider the shipping fee too high, you could directly contact with the supplier to see if he could offer you a discount, or you can try to change to another supplier

something must be wrong with the shipping caculator on aliexpress. it said to ship 500 kitchen tongs it would cost over 80,000.00 US to ship. IMPOSSIBLE

 I am convinced that  traders who advertize their goods on AliExpress do so with the sole intention of ripping off any would be customers. They come across as though they have an attitude of - if you don't want to order my MOQ of 50,000 items & only want one, well the customer can pay through the nose for the priviledge of ordering one, or a small number, of items.

As to the postage! They advertize one items shipping @ , say $25.00, & have the system set so that if you want to buy 50 of the same items then you pay 50 x $25.00 for shipping. No concession for multiple purchases; no shopping basket to purchase different articles from the one trader. One must make a separate purchase & pay separate shipping for each item.

The more I learn of Alibaba the more I see it is only profitable for the big wheeler & dealers ---- and the multitude of scammers who use the site, of course.
