hi,the shipping cost may be so high.It is possible!

Why?

Because you use FEDEX EXPRSS,generally speaking, their action is very rapid, but the cost rate is therefor very expensive. You can turn to DHL,UPS or TNT.

If you have interest in producing your softball in MAINLAND CHINA,we can use EMS in addition to the FEDEX,DHL,UPS and TNT. Absolutely the total buying cost will be much lower.

It is a pity that for light items they have a pattern for calculating courier cost by dimensions only.

We are a foam producing company, the case is often the same.

You may try to find a courier service that is calculating cost by weight, such as CHINA EXPRESS in MAINLAND CHINA,maybe.

300 dozen softbal. It is about 51KG( one standard softball weight is141.70^148.80g).

The shipping cost is really too high. The shipping cost can cut down at least half.

Firstly , you need to obtain the packing weight and volume of your order. The shipping cost is dependant on these specifications. Once you have this, you can go to your local freight forwarder and obtain a quotation. I suspect that you can use Ocean LCL services, it does not look as your order will fill a container. Your costs will be substantially lower if you do this.

300 dozen softballs is going to take quite some space, $4,800 freight sounds about right. for FEDEX, DHL or UPS. Why send by air ? If not urgent then send by sea at a fraction of the cost.

If you need to launch your new product then have some send by FEDEX, DHL or UPS and the rest by sea.

You can also open your own account with FEDEX, DHL or UPS, usually buyer is in better position to get good rate. Most of my buyer have their own account whether by shipping by sea or air as they can get better rates.
