young friend, don't be depressed any longer.Work on quoation but seldom or never have got an order is quite normal in international biz, even worse, most of enquiry senders have never been thankful to our effort at all.But it doesn't matter,it's just what overseas sales have been.

Here is some expreience for your reference about enquiry reply:

An enquiry without any valuable details is not a real enquiry, don't reply it.

Check out their mail ID in order to find out whether it comes from a real buyer or just a competitor.

Before your offer, better to make an analysis to enquiries, and result of analyisis decides your style of correspondence.

Generally speaking,an enquiry attaches more detail,an order realization is more possbile, pls do carefully handle with this kind of enquiries.

Don't be focused on price level only in your reply, you gotta emphasize the advantage of your firm.

Shortly speaking, overseas sales is quite slower than domestic sales,it's a  long way needed to march before growing a sales giant, especially,we are facing a serious difficulty that economy crisis brought us.

Be patient and happy in what you've been engaging.

Look everyone the economy is still shaky and buyers are wary of what the buy, most people now days, will not buy items unless they are certain they can sell them within a month. when you speak/email your client make sure you do it with confidence, IF YOU DON"T HAVE CONFIDENCE IN WHAT YOU SELL LET ALONE IN YOURSELF YOU WILL NEVER SUCCEED, If your not selling, change the way you sell to consumers, Ex. Give incentives, like offer a bonus if they buy from you maybe something extra or free. Offer to send out samples. Offer to pay half of the airline ticket to fly them over to meet you face to face. Also stay on top your SHlT, seriously i've had the unfortunate luck to deal with company's that are late on delivery, that over promise, that after 5 emails i still don't get a reply. DON"T EVER GIVE UP, THE MOMENT YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT GIVING UP IS WHEN YOU SENTENCED YOURSELF FOR FAILURE, -christian armas

Do not worry, sometimes it is conditions, sometimes it is just bad luck. My did not place order recently due to bad market testing, it was no fault of the product, the company, or the company in china, just our market did not like it. In international trade there are many factors which you would not see in local sales, so do not get disheartened :)

Maybe your company is not so famous and the buyers do not have much confidence in you .The best way to get more buyers is to attend Fairs ,i think ,

How do you do.

I suppose because they think that:

1) prices are high

2) quality is not good

3) transportation from the place where you are located is expensive

4) design is poor

5) you don't quarantee stable work of the machine for several years

6) you didn't explain in details what they wanted to listen

7) you were not polite

BUT:

Everything above is just POSSIBLY. Maybe not about you!!!!

I am sure that you did your best.

Please, remember, most of people here don't want to buy. [em22]
Most of them just want to re-sell your product to the end-buyer and need commissions (%).
For this reason they ask and ask and ask... 95% don't buy anything.

Yes, it is very difficult when they don't buy, especially, if you must explain it to the boss.

Breath out.

One day a real buyer will find you in any case.
Try to find potential customers by yourself, using Alibaba Search, don't shy to offer what you sell, be more active and explain in details!

Good luck! [em18]
