Dear mate,
Read your situation and feel so sorry to hear that. Here I would like to offer some of my views.
1. As a new hand, it's very common not to get orders for about 6 months. If you did get an order before, then congratulations. You are a lucky dog. There are two reasons: First, you are lucky. Second, you have done greatly before your order coming. You deserved it. So, if you want to stay in certain industry, never give up. Trust yourself and enrich the knowlege required by your industry. We, the so-called veteran all started from the zero before. Be confident and hold a postive attuitude.
2. Now we shall come to the reasons why you received many inquiries but they didn't place any orders. The reasons are as follows:
(1) At first, they might be curious of your products. Once they get to know about your products, they will find out that your products are not what they need. So they leave you. Business is business. There is no emotion inside.
(2) Your products are what they want. But the quote is not to their taste. Maybe the prices are too high for their market. Or they just want products of medium quality to suit their local market. So, forget it. They leave you again.
(3) Your products may suit their local market. But they have their own suppliers already. And they don't want to running a risk by selecting a might-be wrong supplier. They put your company into their potential products list. They will come to you one day once they are in need. So, jus be patient and they may come to you finally.

Above are just my opinions. Hope it could be of help on your future road. May you have a bright future, sun!

[em4]Hi guy ,it is common place,a small persentage of the inquiries will change into real orders,we all need to keep on,the real customers are always amoung the unreal ones.try your best to serve everyone.
and 2 months is not a long time, actually,as long as you are working hard,it is good enough to get the first order in 6 months.
we are doing lighitng business, same as you,I didn't get any order in my first two months, but then ,I made it in the third month.
Good luck to you .

As a customer, i'd say you have to be competititive coz there are usually a lot of people selling the same product. Secondly, make it easy for the customer to choose what he/she want like providing an electronic catalogue or price list. It's so involving trying to browse through a website looking for something. Sometimes there even no prices on the website, so what should a customer do?
