Post 1 of 12
I have online sells in South Africa, I posted all parcel to buyer by registered air mail in Hong Kong,
Many buyers told me that the South Africa post office told them the no not found in South Africa, but this no can be found in Hong Kong Post Office Wedbsite. The parcel has lost.
Can anyone tell me why ?
How to do is better ?

I think find a trustworthy air mail company is very important. Good luck.

There are many reasons. Two of them are that
1. the SA systems are not compatible with the HK data system so they do not link to one another.
2. the parcel is gone to someone who wants it but has not paid for it, knowing that the parcel is not traceable.

There is 40% unemployment is South Africa and additionally there is a history of breaking law. Your parcels are simply stolen. Sorry.

To understand this proble you really need to understand Africa, and it is not a proble specific to South Africa, my contacts in Malawi have told me that to send anything through the postal system in Africa, is most likley not going to be received. The only way they can get goods into Africa safely, is to make sure that they are there to pick them up from the airport, so that they never need to get anywhere near the postal service. The entire system in Africa is very corrupt from the top down. So I would suggest that anyone trying to trade in Africa (any African state) enlists the services of a trade manager/ trading company, and consider shipping as a better option that air, as a container is more likely to get to its destination & an established trading company should be able to include, others shipments with theirs for a very reasonable fee.

Having lived in South Africa for a long time - I can agree it has been stolen. Even now when I post items they never get to their destination. South Africa is full of thieves at all levels. You will get no help from the police or airports. I am not sure about the harbours. Maybe you can send it door to door but I have not tried this

Oh, no. I have a parcel from India one month ago, they sent it by EMS, but I haven't received it yet. What's wrong?

maybe they have transferted your parcel to other shipping companies, please be patient enough to give them some more time
if the parcels could not be asked back in a reasonable time, you can just file a claim from them.

hi thee ,this is keywon company ,http://keywon.en.alibaba.com, we are professional at mobile phones.
as i know ,by HK air mail,is very very slow, and your country is a little far, so maybe need one month or two months, you can receive the package.
This way is not good ,although it is very cheap, but will waste much time, we normally don;t use this way. at least you can use EMS.or other express ,maybe shipping higher ,but will save you much time.and safe
hope can help you
