new user wants to purchase from China manufacturers

I'm new to this, I've found some products that I would like to purchase. I would appreciate anyone that could "walk me through" what needs to be done to complete a transaction with a Chinese supplier. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It is a big risk if you are new to business with China.
The best way I suggest is to have a sourcing agent you guide you and help you trade with China.
