Can anyone please kindly tell me about something about tea drinking in Australia?
Post 1 of 2

Our factory has developed several new items for stainless steel tea pots
and tea kettles. They are of top quality and elegantly-designed. They are
not just tea pots used in the kitchen but can be used as a gift. One of the
customers in US will place a trial order for their Xmas gift. And we want
to introduce them to the Australia market. But it is very important to know
somethign about tea drinking before we decide it is suitable to open the Australia
market.

So I'd be glad if anyone of you could share with me something about tea
drinking in Australia and how people there prefer the material for their teapots
and tea kettles, ceramic or stainless steel?

Thanks in advance![em1]

Seeing as no-one else has answered your question, I, as a noted beer drinker, will try & provide you with a bit of info on Australian tea drinkers.

Nowadays nearly everyone in the homes just uses tea bags. We place the tea bag in a mug & pour in hot water. Very few homes now go to the trouble of using a kettle or a tea pot. Electric kettles for boiling the water & a mug for the tea.

About the only place one sees a teapot these days is in cafes & restaurants. One can get a small one cup or two cup teapot. It is is generally of stainless steel & they use teabags as well. If I was to ask for tea brewed from loose tea leaves I'm sure the waiter wouldn't know what I was talking about.
