if you have paid to his bank from your bank you can go to your bank and ask your bank to return the money back or contact british embassy or best option is to hire a solicitor and chase  and open a fraud case  I am sure you can get your money back because in the UK  the law is very supportive you can also claim your cost of solicitor and legal cost and damages from the company , you must always make sure you pay the money into the company account in the feauture.

I can not agree with this topic more. I believe that every business man all hope that they can trade with people or companie that have a good faith. Our common goal is to make money  for a long-term benefit , not cheat money for a while.
