This is a story about me: The client treat me like a fool
A client want me to supply sourcing agent service to him:
At the beginning, he said he want one kind of product(I dont want to expose the product name here), he listed several suppliers to ask me, and one of the supplier is who I usually buying from, I told him about this too.
Meanwhile, he asked me for reference of my clients I worked for, then I gave him two of my clients that are conveneint for a talk to this guy. During his contact with my clients, one of my client do not have a website, and he don't trust my client with this, so my client have to give some approvement to him, and finally he is satisfied with the reference I gave him. Then he disappeared.
After serveral weeks, he got back to me, and told me that he actually have placed an order to one of his friend, but finally have a small order for me to follow up inspection and shipment, this order is on the supplier I dealed with , I think that is because I told him they are my supplier. In fact, what he left me is the bone, something not easy to deal with. In spite of this, I still accept to follow up this order, then he asked me to quote shipment price for 5-7kgs for some special items can not shipped by normal ways, he said supplier quote him the price is too high, very expensive, and I was interested in this high price, and I asked him how much they quote, he told me they quote US$200, later, I got a price US$100-130, can you guess what the client wold me later, he said " I just got US$120 from the supplier", what is this mean? This is to put me like a fool, I feel my heart was hurt. In fact, I am not stupied like what he thought, I know he may play this game too. I just can not imaging the action of this client. As we know, one enquiry to different shipping company would be diffferent prices.
I did all of these is because he asked me to make the PI for shipping, I thought he is serious, who knows he is a buyer like this.
This client is too confident on himself, he think he can get to supplier by himself directly, he thought he can negotiate good price, he thought he is smart for everything.
For me, I would like to inform this client, what you will get is what you paid for if you are good at cutting prices. I
found a problem with one of your suppliers, but you will never know it, and you will never have the opportunity to know it.
