Pictures catch more eyeballs than words
Post 1 of 9

Men are basically sight driven, and women are emotion driven that is a statement by an American I heard.

That is where the advertisers make their appeals, and thanks to the multimedia available in the Internet, these forms of promotion has taken into a new dimension. We have floating banners with dazzling attractive pictures, live animation and movie clips embedded in them. Multimedia authoring tools and the skill to master them becomes an important part of the Web Designer to make a website that draws attention.

First impression is always very striking and it is the door-opener to the Internet salesman. The website has to be attractive, entices the audience and has some benefits or incentives for the casual viewers to click in.

How to spread the net over a wider area and draw the crowds to one focal point? First answer to the question would be affliated sites, make the website known by other media of advertisement, by the physical, offline campaigns such as participation in exhibitions, events, charity works, television and the print media. All these besides the Internet promotion by spreading the link hot spots to other channels such as Search Engines, affiliated websites and sites with very high hit rates and wide audiences.

Never underestimate the power of the picture, painting or graphics. "A picture speaks a thousand words." the sayings of advertisers and wise men.

A picture speaks a thousand words
 e-Business World

Thank you Moby, we agree with you whole-heartedly.

Pictures have immediate impact, cross the language barrier, and some cultural ones as well. There are lots of contents and components of communication points contained in a picture which has the unspoken communication, such as:

ABC of Selling
First rule of thumb, Attract attention of the audience, with something they can relate to and appeals to them. Then Bring benefits to them by buying your product. Coerce them into changing their wants to needs.

However, you need to watch out for emails that do not allow graphics to be displayed, block all pictures and the receiver sees nothing if the whole email is sent in graphics form. The graphics take up space in the memory, the first one with the fruits, jewellery and sunglasses is at 10,27kb (1052 bytes) and the one with the e sign and globe, is 11.6kb (11874 bytes). For the computers running on analog modems, the fastest is 56kbps in a free flow, without traffic congestions, will take 0,2 seconds for the globe to load, and 0.02 sec. for the first graphic to load. In a congested condition, the upload speed may be reduced to a mere 12 kbps, and that takes even longer period. Researchers found that if the loading time takes longer than 15 sec. the viewer is more likely to skip it, and if it takes longer than 60 sec. they will shunt it altogether. This also applies to emails as it applies to websites and home pages.
This one takes 44.06kb (45115 bytes) and will take about 0.8 sec to load, if there is no other routers on the highway.

Cheongsam

Traditional Cheongsams bring out the Chinese girl the rare retrospection of beauty, much admired by theelderly folks and some of the younger generation, something we can call our own icon in the fashion industry.

Instead of wearingJeans of the American culture, or the skirts of the the Britishschool girls.

The emphasis is to demonstrate the point that a picture is better than a thousand words, and has the maximum impact of attraction, when an attractive, smiling model parades hte dress.

It speaks of the culture of the Chinese everywhere, not only from China, but the overseas Chinese and the new generation of people who are the educated ones, with University degrees and College education, and a higher level of income and a more open and affluent society.

We thank Alibaba for the picture, and hope the permission isgranted to display it here with a link.

Surmons are Prophetic

MONEY TALKS
 Can you see Benjamin's tears?

Surmons by preachers has both open and hidden messages, that is meant to 'convict' someone for being a miser or not being a giver.

One preacher said "God wants you to give your Benjamins as a sign of giving your precious". He went on further to cite the story of Joseph in the Bible. When the land was plagued with famine, Joseph's brothers came to him in Egypt to buy grains. Then Joseph put them to the test and asked his brothers to bring Benajmin. So the story goes, they brought Ben and he was framed to be a thief and was arrested, brought back to Egypt, but the brothers refused to leave Ben behind. So, the story ends with the salvation of the nation through the release of Ben.

Guys, look closely at the picture of the US $100 note, it is President Benjamin Franklin of the United States of America. So, you guys get the hint? You must give your Benjamins to get the salvation of your financial crisis, your bankruptcy, your period of famine and despair.

Another surmon, "Be a cheerful giver." that was a short message ([em2]SMS[em2]) during the OFFERING TIME.

"I saw some people squeeze their dollar note so hard, that if you look closely at Benjamin Franklin, you can see tears running down his eyes."

Eye-catching image to a man is the picture depicting the opposite gender.
