Strangely enough, I was born in Germany (although I live in Australia), and I have been dealing with China for over 15 years now.
I have great relationships with Chinese, and find them very nice, friendly people (the one's I deal with anyway).
The secreet is that when you go to China, you need to accept their customs and cultures.
Their culture is over 4,000 years old.
You would also be surprised how many German companies have successful joint venture factories in China.
Chinese also respect Germans very much, and admire them too.

Just like tiger, I was also born in Germany, but later immigrated to Mexico. Perhaps it's because this country demands a lot of tolerance from you (and of course you learn your lesson), but I don't have problems with Chinese people either...
