Every forum says to avoid WU and TT like the plague. The only problem is this seems to be the most prevalent way to do transactions. I'm just looking to get some samples of electronic components  and can't hop on a plane to China just  to check out a few companies. I'm not trying to buy cell phones, Dell computers, knockoff  Ipods or any of that other trash that seems to attract the scammers.

What would be the best thing to do. Already have set up an escrow account and nobody wants to do business that way either
Award 10 MVPs ( What's this? )for the best answer.

They are a good method to send money. Paypal is good but not for everyone.  Not everybody has access to paypal, it is not accepted from many countries, just specific ones

Yes, LC is more expensive, perhaps it is more reliable. But may be it isn't worth paying so much.[em1] I also use TT and I am afraid of being cheated too.

we made only good experiences with WU - however avoid PayPal if ever you can. Once they cancelled a transaction of money received a few days after we sent out the goods; tried to contact them but no chance; another time a customer of ours tried to pay with credit card- the payment was refused as "suspicious transaction" !![em2] In addition Paypal is very expensive

L/c credit is the best way and may sure you insure the good, also add as intruction to the bank that evident to comfirmation of shipment from both the shipping company and supplier should be presented before payment
