Hi,

I'm new to Alibaba, and I'm already scared of doing business this way. Still think is duable as long as I take diligence on informing myself. Can someone be so kind and explain to me how is Paypal secure to avoid an Scam?

Once I paid thru paypal, how is my money secure? As long as I know they release the money even before I get the goods.

Can someone please explain?? Thanks so much for your cooperation and for taking the time to answer.

Paypal has a service which is called OPEN A DISPUTE. If anything goes wrong, sender always can open a dispute on the amount they've trasfered. and on the reciever side, the fund (or the account access) will be locked down untill the dispute was solved. Paypal has its own regulations, you need to read it before you start working with it.
Above is what I can answer you so far. Go to paypal and read the instructions. You will find out more.

Paypal is save as long you use it for Ebay payments, that are guaranteed by a Paypal announcement in the Auction or Ebay Store site.
Not all Paypal payments fall under this scheme !

Escrow.com is a save payment, because no Cheater can and will use it !

A Alibaba owned escrow service for International Trade as announced 5 weeks
ago, is quickly disappeared after they had recognized that all Gold Suppliers of
International Brand items can not use it, because they all sell counterfeits and fakes. So a comparing of accepting and not accepting Alibabas Service in good and bad Suppliers would lead to massive loss of new registering GOLDFAKE Suppliers and that are 100% who offer International Brands !

Most of the sellers either require T/T (?) or Western Union.... how can you trust these transactions as a first time buyer?  any tips?

Quoting from[jean0166_7]: I can tell you this: paypal is a bunch of crap. i called and asked them if my payment was secure and somebody who works there said it was. so i used paypal to try and buy some electronics and the seller took my money, never sent anything, cut off all communication and pay pal will not refund my money so what ive learned is this:

to hades with alibaba and their 9.5 million theives, every single seller on this site is a fake, the site is a fake site to harbor thieves why do you think they call it ALIBABA-duh!!! and never use paypal for anything other than ebay, and then hold your breath.

What I do is Pay with Paypal, then immediately open a dispute that you may be dealing with fraudulent company. They will immediately freeze the funds, if it's a scammer, he will not attempt to get funds, or if legitimate he/she will contact you there is a problem, and if you feel they are trying to work it out, at least they know Paypal has the money, and you can tell them to ship, then you will quit dispute. Worked for me, got money back within 48 hours, Brad Bratton imready61@yahoo,com
