Suggestion about FOB Price
Post 1 of 9
Asking as a seller.

Shipping fee of a product depends upon the location of buyer and seller. In FOB Price how can the buyer define a price for customers all over the world while they live in different locations. Suppose

I have a product of actual price $20. Shipping charges of this product to US is $20 and Shipping charges to UK is $15. FOB for a US customer is $40 and FOB for a UK customer is $35. Now we have a single field FOB Price. How can we deal customers all over the world while the value depends upon the customer location.

I suggest to provide an alternate option when adding a product. Like Price of Product, Delivery charges, discounts etc.

Thanks.

FOB price do not include the shipping freight after the goods get across the vessel of boat  . FOB price is followed by the load port not destination.

Upon your topic,  for your information, including the shipping freight to US or UK that  may be C&F PRICE or CFR PRICE

As styated by others, the FOB price is the price you deliver to to YOUR port, not the buyers port.

If you know the price including shipping to whatever country you have the C&F price. If you also add insurance cost then you have CIF price. If you are delaing in small qty's (as it seems from what you say) then quoting a CIF price for buyers in various countries is better from their point of view.

I think nothing terrible, Only complex for dupilicate action.
Once one customer ask you, then just ask them FOB or CFR, once confirmed these, then show them the cost.

Or just show them the FOB cost, of course once anyone who are the serious buyer, they will let you quote the cost which they want.

Nothing complex, only one points in your mind, if you feel it is a trouble to you, then it will be.

there is no need to worry about the shipping rates.
When you have a clients want to know your CIF or CFR price, you ask his location, then
you contact the shipping line or the forwarders to consult the shipping rates .
with their help you will have the CIF and CFR prices.
It's very convenient!!

good luck

FOB means Free On Board, this term does not include the freight charge to the specific destination.

If your customer need to know about the total costs, as a "seller" (do you mean seller rather than buyer as your identity quoted in your description? ) , you should quote them CIF or C&F. In this case, you can add the updated delivery fees which quoted from your courier or shipping agents (  insurance fee base on CIF) on the FOB price.

Hope it helps. Good luck!
