Is it a big problem not to be fluent in English?
Post 1 of 45
Dear All !

plz check my question and tell me how many mistakes do I have? But... is it a problem? You may find many mistakes in my writing, but... is it a problem? I think the important thing is "YOU understand what I mean" right?
In some topics here I see when some people say like "learn english and then type" or "my 7 years old daughter can write English better than you" or something like that, your words hurt people who are not fluent or good in English. The important thing is that they are trying to communicate and express their minds. plz STOP talking about grammar / spelling mistakes.
As for me, English is the 4th language I have learned.
I receive many phonecalls from Italy, China and Korea, and some of them can speak Russian. Surely, they are not fluent or good, but I never say it to them, I always say that their russian speaking ability is very good, and they feel happy and try to learn more Russian.
When somebody, from English speaking country, says that my English is bad I offer him/her to speak in any other 5 languages that I know.
My point is: STOP critisizing anybody who makes mistakes!!!

Completely agree on essense of what you are expressing.Supporting people is always better, in stead of criticising them. But being fluent in a language is one of the major keys to go on the communication. So communication would better be in the language which be spoken fluently.

Best Regards

Our national language is Uzbek.
In our city, Samarkand, people mostly speak in Tadjik
In the school I studied in Russian, I was born in the period of USSR.
In the college I learned English and Turkish. I studied in Uzbek-Turkish boy's college. (Yarenimex - Merhaba). But I haven't practiced Turkish since then so I almost forgot Turkish.
I studied in South Korea for MBA program. There I learned Korean. [em20]

Dear Jonik,

More than the language, it is equally essential to know the Business Essence, Trends, Market Forces and Ground Realities of a Particular Market to have a good level of business from there.
