The probable reason that your customers don't reply is that they most likely are still in a state of shock after reading your shipping costs!
I inquired into buying some playing darts. They were about $12.00 for a set of three. But the postage quoted was $550.00!!! Then for every extra set of darts, the postage went up another $550.00.
I could fly to China by Qantas for the shipping price that I'd be charged for one small set of darts - weighing approx 300-400 grams.
