How to make a fast deal on alibaba website?
Post 1 of 21

acorrding to a long-time business experiences , i found it is very hard to make a fast deal , everyday just emails arrived or returned , it is not so efficent , the important reason is that

we are all afraid of fraud , so some foreigners asked me if you accept paypal , but in china using paypal it need long time to get money , i had ever lost thousands of dollar because some people cheat me products by paypal , then i dare not to use it .

in my opinion , we need to build the trust each other , then payment is not a problem , just a deal is more important , because we come here for business, to work together and to corperate together is important , we need this spirit to expand our products together .

so i hope people can cherish their business time , and i want to get some advices from the people on aliabba, how can we make a fast deal ?

It is important if dealing with the UK you FULLY understand what the buyer is wanting. A lot of suppliers don't.

I they ask you more than one question in an e mail, make sure you reply to them ALL , then they don't get angry having to aske you again.

I , personally, like a quick reply. If I have to wait two or three days for a reply, I don't use them

Samples (if small) should be sent by air mail NOT by DHL FEDEX etc...

We are a lazy bunch in the UK and tend to rely on other people speaking/writing English when we should make and effort to speak in the suppliers tongue, BUT we don't.

Using the TRrade Manager is an enormous benefit to both companies and everyone should use that, it makes life a lot easier.

We also get a lot of e mails from companies introducing their goods that have no connection whatsoever to what we want, that is annoying.

Samples are the ONLY way of doing business here in the UK, we send out lots every week/month to ptoential customers, we don't get them all no-one does. But if we said NO, we would not get any.

You must realise, it is very hard to see what a product is like from a picture on a web site.

AND REMEMBER,,,,,,,,,, there are a lot more suppliers than YOU out  there

I find that the quick reponse is very important. However,in our company ,the price in the offer must be agreed by our boss .and i don't  know how to answer it .As for our product, take the solar light for example.different area will have different fittings ,the price is different. then i could not reply the e-mail quickly.

Do you believe "FALL IN LOVE AT ONE SIGHT"?

Business has business principles.ENQUIRY-OFFER-COUNTEROFFER-OFFER....FAIL OR CONFIRMATION...It need long time negotiations. You will feel achievable if a real business concluded.

For fast business, you may get from the FAIRS.Face to face communication is better for business.Anyway, business depend on your company ability and your saleskills/attitude.

I think fast does not make it safe.  I just started my small internet business with very little capital.  I found a "fast" supplier after 1 or two email replies.  We agreed on price...I sent a t/t to his bank after checking his credentials on the internet.    It turns out he created a similarly-named web domain to a legitimate company .  He scammed me out of US2K.

I say again, TAKE YOUR TIME...eventually, you will find out either he is legitimate or a scammer.
