Hi Everyone,

Lately there is this company from Nigeria who contacted us and said they wanted to buy big volumes of herbal soap from us. Knowing every scam coming out from Nigeria, I wonder this is a new scam. He said that its a government contract worth alot of money and in return for securing the contract, he is to get 1% commission.

Of cos no money sent, no production, no shipment. That should be our philosophy and so are most suppliers around the world. Both parties are now into the contract stage and what else should I be looking out for besides receiving the money. Of cos if we receive the money, all issues are solve but will there be any follow up issue that I should be aware of? I like to follow up and see where it leads to. I hope someone can advice me on this. Thanks!

Regards

Yan

Yes the good old large governments order from
request,

Did they ask you for samples and are they wiling to pay for the transport of the samples, if no:

Since your product is soap you will most likely be asked to registrate your product with NAFDAC later in the negotiation and be told to contact a fake NAFDAC site for you to pay the fee, in this case ask them to Pay the fee and you will deduct it from the invoice,

Around 2500 USD

  • Herbal Preparations =N=375,000 (Three hundred and seventy five

    Thousand naira)

    Breakdown

    =N= 10,000 permit to import

    =N= 265,000 processing fees

    =N= 100,000 registration certificate

Please ask again if needed,
