how safe is alibaba?

is it safe at all? somehow I find this website to a scammers paradise, Am i being paranoid?

Well, it's for you to find out if there are scammers or not.
Mostly, the real business people will be polite and will not attach any strings, and any other things such as "i live there and i am somewhere else. please make a payment to there..."
You need to find out everything by yourself, and i suggest that you pay by LOC or Escrow, not T/T except for Verified sellers!

I hadn't made any transactions yet, i am jsut looking for companies that would sell by payment something else than t/t.
tool to verify domain names: www.dnsstuff.com - whois lookup will help you see wether company really owns a domain, and they are not scammers. But don't rely only on this ;)
also, use only Escrow.com, as it is much more secure than seller's prefered escrowers.
