There is no need to worry about the quality too much
Post 12 of 23
This is the most rediculous suggestion i have ever heard.

Firstly, China has more than 30 years of  manufacturing experience and the whole technic levels has improved so much. The quality is not so bad as many foreign customers think before.

DEPENDS ON WHO YOU WORK WITH, DO NOT BE FOOLED.

Secondly, every trader has the common sense that good quality will benefit both parties for long term, especially in the conditions economy recession, reputation is so important to manufacturer. All the traders are not doing business at one time.

NOT TRUE - MOST OF THE FACTORIES (i have worked with over 1000 factories) have ABSOLUTELY NO COMMON SENSE.

You can see this from small commodities markets everywhere very simply! Our first feeling is that the quality of products in small market must be bad, but actually, the quality is as good as that you buy in the supper market. Nowadays, many common people have the sense of quality. To buy things, price is no longer the first factor.

The quality is deeply impressed in people's heart and good quality will benefit both buyer and seller. Many factories prefer to sacrifice a little, rather then do harm to customers. I think this is common in China and in the world.

COMPLETELY NOT TRUE - DO NOT BE FOOLED.  YOU MUST INSPECT YOUR GOODS BY QUALITY INSPECTION BEFORE SHIPMENT TO AVOID GETTING SCAMMED.

Everybody is entitled to have his own opinion, but as you are talking so authoritatively, I would like to ask how you would back up this opinion. How could we – the average John Dow – know that Chinese quality is as good as you say?

Reply to Uksikh,
I should say yes, to some extent, I also agree with you. But that is just minority and it becomes fewer and fewer.

The whole quality levels is an improving process. Can you say products manufactured in Europe 50 years ago are high in quality? It is a comparative topic.

The fact is that more and more manufacturers realize the importance of quality. Very simply, if I exported a bulk of goods bad in quality, I have to find excuse to explain, that is really a nightmare for me, and also for most exporters.

If you are cheated in one region, you can't say all the people in that region are bad!

Zouhao, now you are switching subjects. First you expected us not to look at quality too much, now you implicitly admit that it is often not so good and try to defend that with the fact that China is a relative newcomer in industrial production.

Nobody says that it isn't normal that China still struggles with quality. Our point only is, if it is bad, work on its improvement. Period!

After all, if you spend money on a product of low quality that soon doesn't work anymore, it is almost like throwing away your money and getting nothing in return. In both cases the money is gone and you don't have what you would like to have.

On the other hand, nobody says, "forget about China". We are only saying, "China, you have to improve!" What could be wrong with that? People said the same to Japan many years ago, and you can seed the positive results. - Please look at the subjects a little more calmly.

Germex,

Good day! Thanks for sharing your opinion!  I just said "too much", it does't  mean there is no need to worry about the quality at all!

Of course, there is still long distance for us to improve the quality. I just want to inform our freign customers that not all the goods from China  are as bad as they thought before. It is improving so much, and it will be improved in the near futhure!

Well, I also used the words "too much", so we seem to have a little problem of communication and mutual understanding. But as long as quality is improving and we can find what we need (forcing "the offenders" to improve their quality), everything is fine. So I guess we can put this subject to rest.

I read this comment "Can you say products manufactured in Europe 50 years ago are high in quality?" from Zouhao.

I don't know about the EU but being from America I can say that the quality level of products made in the USA 50 or even 70 years ago were at a much higher quality standard. The only difference would be that today there may be more saftey features added to such products.

I have an Uncle that still using a lawn mower built in the 50's that my Grandfather bought and it is not uncommon for the young generation to visit Grandparents that have household appliances and other things around the home from the 1980's, 1970's and 1960's and before that even that are still working fine today. It is hard to say that this new generation of products will do the same but many indications show they will not.

I don't mean to be rude in saying so but China brought down the quality standard and life span of products but it isn't all their fault (I think this could even be said against manufacturers in America today as well). . As consumers we demanded it with wanting the absolute lowest price but I think for the most part it is a positive cooperation. As for quality, I do think Chinese want to sell a good product but as with most other companies, profits are a priority.
