From 1 July 2009 onwards, Alibaba.com will be offering its Gold Supplier membership (Gold Supplier International Edition) globally to replace the International TrustPass Membership.

Feedback from Alibaba.com members around the world indicated that many buyers wanted to choose from a broad pool of verified suppliers, while suppliers outside of Greater China wanted the same level of exposure and value-added services as Alibaba.com's Chinese customers. Therefore, the launch of Gold Supplier International Edition ensures that all international suppliers, no matter where they are located, have access to the same top-tier tools to grow their business and maximize their return on investment.

Gold Supplier International Edition offers additional benefits to suppliers including first-level priority listing and exclusive promotional opportunities at international trade shows and Big Buyer sourcing events.

The International TrustPass Membership will no longer exist as a membership, but the TrustPass logo will remain as a sign that the company has been authenticated and verified by a third-party security service provider.

i'm new company in export and i want to be verified member on alibaba...

but to be honest with you, to me 2.999$ /year for Gold Supplier membership is very very expensive.. not like trusspass 589$ /year.....

is it another way to me, to get trusspass..?
