I heard that most of  the people from northeast China are heavy drinkers,and they pride themselves on their capacity. If you want do business with them you have to drink a lot,is that true?

If I am a wimpy drinker, can I do business with them?

actually you can drink a tea instead of drink, just let them konw you did not like drinking.

OK! If you don't drink alcohol, just tell them. If they force you to drink, then you can tell them if they want to do business with you, this is the only choice. Still, please tell them to respect other's choice.

I can outdrink them. Sometimes they need 5 guys to go against me -- very red faces.   I will represent you for 10%

I was forced to drink wine yesterday by our boss when we have meal with a customer together.

my face redder and redder after we finished the meal.

According to people's nature and character, I dont always refuse some one.

Too direct is not a good thing , but i insist to be.

Some man always forced others to get drunked, then they will feel successful.

But friends, we are sincerely enough when staying with friends.

I come from northeast of China, but I can't drink much more. Actually northeast people really can drink more and also very be good at urging the people to drink, only when see you are drunken, they will very happy and won't urge you drink more.So if when you drink with northeast people, you can pretend you are drunken after a while, but you must pretend very true, or you will be very trouble. Maybe really drunken for once is not a bad thing.

i don't know the rule ,but in my appinion,if you cannot drink you can drink tea or beverage instead. Chinese people are very nice

do not worry , some guys from the northeast are good at drinking , but that is just their own business , if you refuse to drink a lot , nobody will reforce you.

i am a northest chinese, if u do as what post 4 said,then u will find it is what a big mistake! u can drink a little at first and say u are a wimpy drinker,not to drink any more, that's gonna be ok,no one will blame u, we drink with guests is just because of our flame,that is protocol.

As a girl I see in China .if you actully don't drink much just tell them and everyone will not laugh at you ,The guest is just god I feel
