How come a supplier don't welcome his visitors?

My buyer wanted to order some products(named products) from a supplier.

She asked me to verify if it is a legal supplier.

She forwarded me the communications between her and her supplier.

My buyer expressed her wish to this supplier about she want her agent (me-Jasmine) in China to visit their office. But the supplier wrote this "I am sorry we dont receipt any visitor, please place your sample order if you feel our company are worthless to trust, and we will proof that we are serious supplier of electronical products. ""We don't receipt our customers in these days, i hope you can understand us. We have many orders everday, if everyone ask to visit our company and we don't have time to work just receive them"

After read these emails, I told my buyer that I rather suspect this supplier (plus I don't think there are many legal suppliers of named products there)
She is not welcome her customers!!!
If they are legal, they should welcome their customers to have a look, have a meeting face to face, have a talking in details.
How is it possible that a company want business, but not welcome their buyers to come??

I can't say with certain it is a scam.
But they don't welcome their buyers doesn't make sense.

In such circumstance, I would suggest strongly the buyers should open their eyes.
If possible, pls ask your China agent to visit the suspective supplier on the safe side.

[em2] I support your point that we should welcome the buyers and be more considerable to them, of course the buyers want to verify if the supplier is an official company and the product's quility is good!
Maybe the company didn't have its own factory, so it is hard for them to take the buyers for visiting, or they are a big company and they don't care about the new customer. Any way, if we really want to get a new order or development a new customer, we should be honest and take them to the office.
In addition, after this, I think it should be more easy for the buyer to pay first.
