According to the report from Alix Partners, China fell to the third as the "Factory of the World". The Fisrt is Mexico whiile the second is India.

Mexico is first? I'm living in Mexico but find it hard to believe. In any case, Mexico might be the "World Shop", but not the "World Factory". There might be a lot of production rolling out of foreign plants in Mexico, but there isn't much production that could honestly be called "Mexican" .

China already has its own processor chip (Godson 2 and soon Godson3), while we don't even have an ordinary chip with AND gates. We are lacking truely Mexican inventions, creations and production. So "World factory" sounds a little too ambitious to me.

Yes Grandpa, I completely agree with you, Infact India may be a major sourcing hub but still the "World factory" should be China in my opinion.

As on  today, China still dominates as No. 1 factory of the world despite some problems  owing to economic reasons within the country as well worldwide reccessionary situation.

China can't be beat concerning how much products we produce.

yeah I think it is world's biggest factory but it will not remain same in future as the supplier are cheating to there buyers more often and back up there commitments so often even after having contracts and advances , hard to tell them that do not let the buyer loose a big money for your petty interests .
these days it is hard to find the supplier which can keep commitments and this is why big investments in big industries are diverting to other countries .
