I have done foreign trade many years,this time, i offered my potential client a very good price(low price, no profit), but i want to get this business.  He didn't choose me, however did business with my  competitor. that price was higher than mine USD1000.00, same quality and high price, why  diid he make this choice.

I am not sure what are you offering to them but from experience, when we choose a higher prices supplier rather then the cheaper prices one when both of them are offering the same thing, same grade, same quality, there will only be one reason for us:-
*The higher prices supplier have a better name, famous brand and with some kind of certification, government recognized, etc etc that when we sell their product, we can boost about it because they are famous and lots of people know about them so it's easier for us to sell. Volume vs Profit Margin
