Quote: Swine flu has killed so many people in Mexico,no one want to take a risk to buy anything from them. It's reasonable to stop buying their food. I hope the swine flu could away from Mexico people and other countrys as soon as possable.
Wow, "so many people"? How many has it actually killed (out of 120 million Mexicans) since the first person got infected? As far as I know, the real number is around 20. So I guess you also won't go to a country where hundreds or thousands died in an earthquake, hurrican, tornado, etc. ![]()
Don't give in to the press hype. This flu is much more "benign" than any ordinary winter flu. Consequently, Mexico has already lifted all bans, alerts, etc.
The whole problem consisted in that there weren't any wars for the press to report, so they had to aggrandize this "terrible" flu to have something to talk about. That's the whole reason this was called a "pandemic".
By next month nobody will even remember it. ![]()
Quoting from [rikas]:
Hi all
I have been hearing rumors about countries placing bans on the import of Mexican goods, because of the Swine flu scare, can somebody confirm or deny this?
Quoting from [rikas]: Thank you for the reply, here is just another side to the coin: With the previous flu scare (bird flu) the shares of a certain Pharmaceutical company shot up by 700 %... makes you wonder...
Well, I guess "makes you wonder" is just an expression and that you know very well what's going on. In fact - and "of course" just by coincidence - both the Mexican and US president are shareholders of that company that makes the vaccine against swine flu. Some people just have all the luck! Nobody dare calling it a conspiracy! ![]()
