Nigeria Scrap Metal Business?
Post 1 of 27
I get a lot of enquiries for scrap metal from China and india before i even knew the business exist because i live in Africa. so i decided to investigate this business and act as a broker for Companies so they do not fall into the hands of scammers.
1) From Nigeria i have not been able to find rail scraps i dont think they have it in quantity so anyone offering it is a scamer.
2) I see a lot of Batteries dry, car Metal, compressors, old PC, car engine, transformers, trucks, tanks etc so that is possible from here.
3) I have not seen ship scraps yet so if someone is offering it from Nigeria be careful.
I also do not know a lot about the business as i am learning it but i can help with answering question about what is possible from here.

Replying to [iowaboy]:Are you paying with L/C? this is the first thing pls pay with L/C. Also most scrap from African Country goes to Asia and sometimes Europe. So most Americans and Canadian Companies are not familiar with African Market so of course since thsy do not know it they might think the quality might be low coming from Africa. So really that might be a problem if that is your market.

Replying to [Sherry]:Made business in scrap metal with Africa in general is very dangerous, because all people that offer metal, never exist only want to get easy money and never load anything, no body want to do some deal with Africa, have a very bad reputation. I have experience in this item, and please be carefully, the material not exist never.
