To the both of you asking.  You must do a proper investigation of the company. Just because they are listed as a Trustpass or Gold Supplier doesn't mean they are a legitimate company.  As you will read on these forums there are so much fraud committed by those types of memebers.  If you plan to buy name brand products from these guys make sure they have the proper export license.  If they don't have this they are fraudulent.  If you ask for an export licese and the come back to say they are a sales department or an agent of the supplier then that is B.S. too.  That is the perfect sign to stop dealing with them.  Other than the rights to export they must be able to verify accept payment that will protect you and them, such as Pay Pal.  If they ask you to Western Union, that is another sign to run and get out of there.  Once they get the money they can do whatever they want and that includes not shipping the product at all.  I see that sellers that do not use Pay Pal are fraudulent because Pay Pal also protects the seller.  Pay Pal provides protection both ways.  Another easy sign of fraud are free products.  Yeah right!!!!!  It sounds too good to be true.   It is too good to be true!!!!

Be patient.  Scammers can only operate for a few months then they have to change their name becuase of reports.  If you've been talking to a supplier for a few months and they're not kicked off yet that is a good sign but you must be talking to them for a few months. You still have to be careful of companies listed as Alibaba members since 2008.  That could mean that they joined Dec 2008.  Also suppliers list the company early but don't do anything with it so the company seems like it's been active on Alibaba for more than 1 year.  Again, you must be talking to them under that company name for many months.  This is where patience comes into play.  Be patient, scammers make money off of those people who want to also make quick money.

Let me say again. These are only suspect. These companies are not confirmed as scammers by me but you can do your own research. I will not do the research further. This is information i'm just passing along. You do the research. You make the decision. Read the forums on how to tell a SUSPECT and how to determine the real thing. Take your time. Don't get scammed. TAKE YOUR TIME AND BE PATIENT. DON'T RUSH INTO ANYTHING. WITH TIME YOU WILL MAKE YOUR DECISION TO DO BUSINESS OR NOT. THIS IS THE LAST I WILL SAY ON THIS THREAD.

I have been too hasty and handed over £490 to this company via Western Union. I did not reaserch this company before I paid, this is the first (and possibly last) of this kind of trade i am ever going to do. I do belive this guy is a scammer, and I have lost my money [em5]. The goods should be arriving next week. I will let you all know the outcome of this transaction.

Please DO NOT purchase off this company. Yet

An employee of this company has seen my post, and has reassured me that the sale is legit and a package is on the way. He has given me a tracking number, which will apparently will become valid in 2-3 days time (Friday latest). I will let you all know if a package is indeed on its way by Friday. The only thing I am worried about is that he will not give me one single customers business, so I can verify the authenticity of this company - due to 'Company Policy'. I cannot see why wholesalers would need to keep their customers secret? There is no need to?

Anyway, I will keep this thread posted.

This "truth" is reported since years in many Topics and has never changed, but the name of the scamming Companies change quicker than you can change your shirt !

Well, as it stands, a package to the UK has been registered via the shipping number he gave me. (CP184727985CN). The status is the package has been accepted. I am hoping now that the package they have sent me contains what I ordered.

I see the tracking number.  Here are some commonalities that I saw with people including myself getting fake tracking numbers:

1) told by the Seller that they messed up and it was sent China Post or EMS instead of DHL

2) the tracking number results can be tracking on some site like intmail.183.com.cn but does not work on the actual EMS site

3) after tracking the package for a few days it suddenly stops in Shanghai International and then no progress from there

I am often confused about this too.  I read on these forums of a case where some person bought something to be shipped to Russia.  The tracking number amazingly worked on both EMS and intmail.183.com.cn  The packaged was last tracked to be scanned in a post office in Russia but never was delivered to the Buyer's door.

As you can see, it's a big waiting game of asking yourself and others, "is it true?", "will the package arrive?"  at the same time you are hopeful but then if it doesn't come then it will have been a big waste of time in regards to notifying others about the possible scam.  Scammers obtain time from a Buyers initial fraud report to Alibaba by doing something like this delay tactic.

But for all i know or you know, this still could be a real shipment due to arrive.  Who knows?  i don't know.  All I know is my experience and other people's experience so that is the little i have to offer.  Good luck.  The money is spent already so i'm hoping for you too.
